Dear Parents:
This short week was a very productive one as we have transitioned our students into the new semester. The new semester brings a fresh start and new opportunities for our students to reflect on the previous semester and make goals for the rest of the school year. This is one of the most exciting parts of the year for teaching and learning, as we have a long stretch between now and spring break to prepare our students for mastery of the curriculum. Don’t forget both our girls and boys basketball teams will be competing in the Gulf Coast League playoffs this Tuesday at home; come help us cheer them on! GO SHARKS!!!!
2012-2013 Pre-Enrollment
The school’s 60-day pre-enrollment window opened on January 2nd. For those of you with children, who will be entering Kindergarten next school year with us, make sure you visit the school’s website to pre-enroll them for the 2012-2013 school year. Based on current charter school law, your child will be reserved a seat for this upcoming school year and will not have to be put into the lottery.
Farmers’ Market Corner
Last week, O’Macalicious added flavor to our farmers market with their famous mac ‘n’ cheese and delicious Bison Chili. They will be returning again tomorrow with our newest additions: PAMPERED CHEF and handmade jewelry by Sandy Pape. The weather will be beautiful tomorrow, so plan on stopping by to visit the vendors’ booths and do your produce shopping before going to the local grocery store. Also, remember that you will be able to enjoy the farmers market AND the community yard sale next Saturday, January 28th! Your support by coming to the market and liking it on Facebook is greatly appreciated as we continue to expand this weekly fundraiser. The Naturally North Port Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday from 9:00am – 2:00pm on our Junior High campus. See you tomorrow!
